2010 Commencement Will Find Marymount Manhattan Students Wearing Caps and Gowns Made from 100% Post-Consumer Recycled Plastic Bottles!
Fewer plastic bottles will be choking our landfills because for every Marymount Manhattan student walking at commencement, an average of 23 plastic bottles was used to manufacture their cap and gown.
In the latest effort to go green on campus, the new line of graduation wear – named GreenWeaver – is made of fabric spun from molten plastic pellets. With some 60 million plastic bottles going into U.S. landfills every day, Marymount Manhattan is helping to turn trash into keepsakes.
There is no charge for your regalia when the order is placed. The cost of the regalia is included in the graduation fee you've already paid.
