Founded in 1889 in
Roanoke, Virginia, was a company that was to become one of the
country's leading academic, judicial, and religious apparel
manufacturers, The Oak Hall Company.
Throughout the
years, Oak Hall steadily built a reputation for the finest quality
and service in academic, judicial, and religious apparel in the country.
In 1976, the
company acquired the Bentley and Simon Company, a New York based
manufacturing firm world renowned as the leader in fine tailored
pulpit, academic, and judicial apparel. In fact, today, Bentley and
Simon is recognized throughout the world as the hallmark for quality
custom-made robes.
In 1980, Oak Hall
acquired the C.E. Ward Company, one of the largest manufacturers of
academic and choir apparel in the Midwest.
We currently
operate two sewing facilities in Virginia with more than 200,000
square feet for our factory and warehouse. All of our products are
manufactured in the United States. We currently manufacture
graduation regalia, pulpit, choir, judicial, and kindergarten gowns,
and all related accessories. We are proud to say that Oak Hall has
one of the largest cap and gown facilities in the world today.

Today, Oak Hall
services over 1,400 colleges and universities, 6,000 high schools, as
well as 10,000 nursery schools and kindergartens, and 2,500 choirs
and ministers.
